Jess Marvin

Hi there, my name is Jess Marvin and I have been a Football Girls academy coach since late 2021.

 

I am 24 years old and based in Auckland, having spent time in Sydney, as well as Otago for university. I have been playing football since I was five years old, primarily at Ellerslie, as well as at Otago University AFC. Currently, I am a member of the Ellerslie Women Premier & Reserves squad. While in Dunedin I was playing in the Premier Women's team, as well as the representative Southern development team in the youth national league. Alongside this, I represented Otago at Futsal Tertiary National's in 2022.

My position for as long as I can remember is a striker or winger. My coaching experience over the years involves a number of both youth club and school teams. I have completed my Youth level 1 coaching course, and am looking to gain further coaching qualifications over the coming years. My favourite women's football team at the moment would have to be the Matildas, or Arsenal!

 

I am passionate about sharing my love for football through coaching our next generation of football stars, seeing our football girls grow over the past few years has been amazing, and I am 100% committed to helping our girls be the best football players they can be.
