About The Football Girls
Welcome to The Football Girls, a community of all-female staff
dedicated to empowering young girls through football.
My name is Haley Gleeson, and as the founder of The Football Girls, I've spent the last 15 years creating programmes that help girls grow into confident, happy, and resilient young women.

At The Football Girls, we believe that when girls feel grounded and valued, the learning happens. That's why we offer a wide range of accessible programmes anchored in football, all designed to build strong, balanced, and happy girls. Our programmes are community-based and attended by a cross-section of families from the wider Auckland region.

But we offer much more than just football skills – our programmes are designed to provide a level of holistic care that helps young girls feel good about themselves and confident in their abilities both in football and life. Mental wellbeing is an increasingly important issue, and our programmes play a vital role in reducing the risk of young females suffering from mental health issues.
Our ethos and motto are simple: at The Football Girls, the comparing stops, and the connecting starts. We're passionate about growing self-worth, and we love to see the smiles and connections we're able to facilitate. And with so many disruptions in our world today, we know how important it is to support the well-being and happiness of our young females.
